Our farm is located in eastern Hamilton County, Indiana. As a working farm, we don't have a traditional retail store — we offer pickup by appointment only. You can also find us at community events as announced on our Facebook page.
Peony roots are available for purchase in fall, and potted peony perennial plants are available for purchase in spring.
Come see us at the Indiana Peony Festival at Noblesville’s historic Seminary Park on the Saturday after Mother's Day! Free to attend and open to the public, the festival takes place each May to inspire Indiana residents statewide to celebrate the peony, the state flower. Noblesville Peony Farm is the major grower for the festival. There will be peony plants, fellow peony growers, artisans, kids activities, horticulture classes, floral displays, food and spirit trucks and much more.

The best time to plant is spring and fall. Cooler temperatures and moist soil provide optimal conditions for successful establishment. If purchasing in May, be sure to plant right away. If you need to hold them for a bit, set them in a shady spot—direct sun on black pots can get the roots very hot!
Peonies are happy in partial to full sun. Make sure they aren't in a low spot that holds water, or the roots could rot. Allow at least 2 feet between plants (3 feet is ideal). The eyes on the root (where the stems come from) should not be more than 2 inches below the soil line. It is best to keep mulch away from the stems. Add a handful of bonemeal to the planting hole.
In the spring, a sprinkle of compost or balanced fertilizer can be scratched into the surface soil. When all the foliage dies back in the fall, cut them back and remove all leaves and stems to the compost.
Peonies are spring and early summer bloomers. You will find our fresh cut peonies at the Indiana Peony Festival, the Saturday after Mother's Day in Noblesville. Local florists buy large quantities of our flowers before and after the festival, and we sell out quickly.
