Our Story
We are Denise Bliss and George Stephenson, owners of Noblesville Peony Farm. We are a flower farm and nursery specializing in cut and potted peonies.
Back in 2010, we were first-year flower farmers and the new owners of 5 acres of wild land in eastern Hamilton County, Indiana. We put in a road, a well, and raised the barn, then started planting peonies!
Our flowers thrived and lasted longer in the vase than usual; maybe it's the pure spring water, so good we drink it from the tap without filtering! We pioneered as flower vendors at Fishers Farmers Market from 2010 to 2019 under the name Bliss Haven Farms.
People started asking for peony plants, so a few years ago, we potted up some of our roots and sold the plants in the spring. We were hooked on this new venture and vowed to learn everything we could to grow the healthiest plants around! In 2023, we rebranded to Noblesville Peony Farm to reflect our passion for providing customers with the highest quality cut and potted peonies.
We pot our peony roots in the fall in a locally crafted mix of soil and compost, then overwinter them in our unheated greenhouse. It takes more labor, but the extra months give the plants an early start to grow strong before they are planted in your garden.
Noblesville Peony Farm is licensed by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources to grow and sell peony plants, and we're proud to be the major grower for the Indiana Peony Festival's peony plant sale.
